INCORPORATION AND PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

Produksi Seni Duapuluh Duapuluh Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 19th September 1991 and have produced more than 900 titles of TV programs of various genre such as Drama series, Travelogue, Cooking, Sports, magazines, Documentaries and Telemovies. Amongst the highly rated Docu-Drama is Kisah Benar (1994) consist of 156 episodes which has garnered the highest ratings of Top 3 programmes consistently over TV3 channel. Our first movie “Red Haired Thumbler in Malaya” won a special jury award for portraying a Multi-Racial Cultural film in the Malaysian Film Festival 1995 and was also nominated in the New York Film Festival. We have collaborated in Co-Productions with many countries including Thailand and Vietnam. Our drama series entitled Moonlight Saigon was filmed in Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur was jointly co-produced with Vietnam TV station with artiste participation from both countries. Our latest movie titled: ‘SUMPAHAN JERUNEI /CURSE OF THE JERUNEI’., a cultural horror movie based on cultural heritage from Borneo Sarawak is completed and due to be released by year 2023 for theatrical and distribution.

ABOUT US

We are an established reputable production house registered with FINAS (National Film Corporation ) and Kementerian Kewangan (Ministry of Finance) and have produced various genre such as Drama Series, Telemovies, Travelogue, Magazines, Documentaries, Cooking and Sports programs for nationwide broadcast on RTM’s TV1 and TV2, TV3, ASTRO and NTV7. Amongst other activities are Distribution, Marketing activities and potential Co-Production projects.

ACHIEVEMENTS / CAPABILITIES

Distribution
Have successfully distributed and marketed Television programs to TV stations in PT Suraya Citra Television in Indonesia, TV cable Networks in Hong Kong, Vietnam TV station and Malaysian TV station. Acqusition of foreign programs for local Television Stations including TV2 of Radio Television Malaysia.
Filming Experience
Produksi Seni Duapuluh Duapuluh Sdn Bhd have extensive experience filming in various continents in Asia - Thailand, Vietnam, Borneo Sarawak. Europe includes countries such as Germany , Luxembourg, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Monaco, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Bosnia and Crotia. United States Continent in New York City.
Achievements
Our Docu-Drama KISAH BENAR or ( TRUE STORIES) garnered Top 3 ratings on the SRM (Survey Research Malaysia) report which was screened over TV3 for 3 years in a row. Our maiden movie “ Red HairedThumbler in Malaya” proudly won the Special Jury Award for portraying a Multi racial film in the Malaysian Film Festival 1995 and was also nominated in the New York Film Festival.

Produksi Seni 2020 Sdn Bhd have been actively attended various International Films markets and Festivals to promote various TV programs and movie. Amongst the Film Markets are Cannes De Marche, Busan Content Market, Mipcom at Cannes, Hong Kong Filmart, Asia TV Forum in Singapore, Vietnam TV & Film market, Dubai Film Market, Shangai International Film Market, Taiwan Film Market, AIFFA@Sarawak at ASEAN International Market and the American Film Market.

DATIN DR WENDY WONG

Executive Director
Datin Dr. Wendy Wong is the founder of Kisah Benar and has been successful in creating the brand for SENI 2020. She was appointed the position of Accounts Auditor for 2 years since 1998 for PFM (Malaysian Film Producers Association). Currently, she is the treasurer for PTVM (Malaysia TV Producer Association) since 2013.

DATO' NANCie FOO

Executive Director
Dato’ Nancie Foo a former beauty Queen started her acting experience and later gathered much experience in production and behind the scenes. She sits as a committee member consecutively for 10 years since 2006for PFM (Malaysian Film Producers Association) till to date. She was also appointed Chairman, of Competition and Jury for the Malaysian Film Festival for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2016, which was organised by the National Film Development Board (FINAS).
